Altek Leo. 3.5G (HSDPA) smartphone that will feature a 14-megapixel camera with a 3x optical zoom. It will also be able to do 720p video recording, with WiFi and 3.5G connectivity allowing for immediate uploading of the photos and video. It also seems to have a touchscreen for input, based on another render of the front side.

We don’t know much else besides that it will be revealed at CommunicAsia in Singapore next month. And yes, you can expect that lens to retract into the phone.

Also, don’t be swayed by the number of megapixels this camera phone can do. What’s most important are the sensors inside. Otherwise you’ll just get a bunch of compressed, noisy photos that won’t look good at all. I don’t expect the quality of the photos here to be that great.
